Principal's Message
You will soon be entering the adult world of work and life long learning. My hope is that you learn as much as you can to prepare you for a happy productive life. Like most things in life, the more you put into school the more you will get out of school. While as CSS you should chase your passions and learn to think critically. You will soon be asked to make decisions as a voting member of society. We want you to be able to make informed decisions based on your own critical analysis. Strive to learn as much as you can in your short time here.
You do not need to be the “smartest” student to be successful in school or in life. What matters more is longterm determination in the face of adversity. This is often referred to as grit and to me means that everyone can be successful. Everyone can decide to try hard even when things are difficult. Keeping this in mind will help you both in school and in life.
The information in this handbook is meant to help you be informed so that you can be as successful as possible. Many of the policies contain the words “may” instead of "will" because we deal with people not widgets. The policies will be applied and interpreted in as humanistic a manner as possible.
