Assessment and Evaluation
Teachers regularly assess student progress on reports, essays, projects, quizzes, tests, labs, and oral presentations. For reporting purposes, we divide our school year into four reporting periods (2 each semester). Evaluation is based on the work done in class but some courses may include mid-term and final exams. As well, some courses have a Provincial Exam that eventually becomes part of the final course evaluation.
Following each mid-semester report a time has been set aside specifically for parent-teacher interviews. However, we encourage requests for parent-teacher conferences at any time. Please call the office at 250-674-3328 to set up interview times.
