Parent Consent Requirement for Student Images
In accordance with the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY ACT, Clearwater Secondary School requires consent to use personal information for purposes unrelated to educational programs.
It is a tradition in our school to allow school staff, district staff, and the media to photograph or videotape individuals and groups of students to commemorate events and to promote various educational, sports, and cultural events taking place in our school and district. While photographs or videos add to the community life of our school, they are not required for educational purposes. By reading this definition you are acknowledging that your son or daughter’s images may be used in one of the following contexts: school yearbook, website, DVD, hallway monitor, newsletter and on occasion, in the School District Calendar, annual report, or in the news media.
We are considering that this acknowledgment represents your informed consent of the images used expressly for school purpose only.
For more information contact the school.
